Nanny Advice

Hey! I have a nanny that comes to watch my almost 3 year old and my 18 month old. I work full time from home and have an office in the basement. I don’t meddle in the day to day with the girls and the nanny, but I do see them occasionally when I go up for food/drinks. It’s short and I say hi to the girls and then I go back down. The nanny gets to leave for lunch or whatever whenever she wants. We get along but lately there have been some issues I’ve let slide bc I get watching toddlers are hard. Today my older daughter looked at me and said “I’m a good listener today too!” And my nanny goes “probably not” and it irritates me that she’s so negative not even 20 minutes in to being here. We never wrote up a contract or anything but I’m planning on it. I want to also address these back handed comments in a professional way. I would LOVE any and all advice about your nanny experience!
