How often do you get alone time away from baby? Not necessarily over night, but let’s say 2+ hours away. My fiancé’s birthday is coming up and I asked what he wants as a gift and he said “an afternoon alone would be great.” I’m a SAHM and he works long hours so I totally get it.. but I said well maybe some day I would also like some time alone.. and he said “you get time alone during the day when the baby naps.”

I in no way see my baby as a burden and I love to do everything with him, but a mom needs a break some times. In the 9 months we’ve had a baby, I have never been away from him except to go to the grocery store for an hour. I do EVERYTHING with him. I would love to go get my hair done or have lunch with a friend or idk 😞 my point is, my fiancé doesn’t see why I would ever need alone time and it drives me crazy that he doesn’t get it.
