Sleep
My husbands away for a week. So night time has been tough. Be for my husband left she was sleeping from 800pm to 530am. She is 16 weeks old and I think she’s regressing. The reason I’m posting is to get some reassurance that I’m not bad mom. The last few nights she has woken me up at 1100, taking me an hr and a half to get her back to sleep. Then she gets up at 300 and again it’s taken me a hr and a half to get her asleep. Tonight is the 3rd night she has been doing that, I’m am exhausted and just fed up. BTW I’m in the military and I don’t get home till 1000 on a good night. So when I say I’m fed up I’m coming from a 12hr shift. Working in the heat to trying to get my little girl to sleep.
So tonight when she woke up the first time I changed her diaper, fed her rocked her for 5min (her eyes woke open) then I just set her in the crib with her wide awake and let her squirm for 10-15 min. She wasn’t screaming or crying out in any way. I was watching her on the monitor. But I just couldn’t get her to fall asleep and my body needed rest. I don’t want her to think I’m abandoning her.
