Struggling breastfeeding

I wanna breastfeed my newborn so bad but I feel like I’m not getting her full enough. We’re still at the hospital so last night I had to give in & ask for formula because she was still hungry & she hasn’t had the best experience with latching as I was also given a nipple shield. Ftm & I just wanna know what are the options? I don’t wanna stop her from getting breast milk, I’m just not producing milk yet... should I use formula while my milk comes in so we can at least get some rest?
