Rude customer on the phone

Why do some clients feel like it’s ok to be rude over the phone? My husband got a call from a client asking for the person in charge. He told them they were busy and that he’d be able to help. Her response was “I don’t want to waste my time talking to you.”

Then when his boss called them back she told the client that if she needed anything, her assistant (my husband) was more than capable of helping her. And her response? “I don’t want to talk to boys.”

Well if you want to talk to an adult, maybe try acting like one! 😂 Sheesh!
