Starting ivf in November due to methotrexate
I know it’s a few months out but I wanted to give my back story. I figured I would see if there was anyone who has gone through something similar.
My husband and I have been trying for two years. The first year we decided if it happened it happened. I knew I was ovulating and having sex during fertile week. The second year we amped it up. Had a chemical pregnancy. Two months later, became pregnant and miscarried at 7 weeks. Two months after that had another chemical pregnancy. Met with a bunch of fertility doctors, had surgery(to clear endo, polyps, and a blocked tube).
Started my first medicated iui cycle. I was told it most likely won’t take due to low sperm count. We found out we were pregnant a week and a half ago. I went to my first scan today to only find out it was an ectopic pregnancy in the tube that gave me problems. We did methotrexate and now have to wait until the beginning of November to start Ivf!
Has anyone had anything similar happen? Did ivf help? Does ivf lower my chances for another ectopic or miscarriage? I’m nervous. I don’t want to have another loss. Any tips?
Thank you for listening. Baby dust!
