Making baskets for L&D nurses??

My hubby and I want to put together 2 baskets of goodies for nurses that will be taking care of us when I have our baby. I’m thinking healthy snacks/drinks and a few bottles of Starbucks drinks. 
I would love other ideas so I can start putting them together!❤️❤️

I did something similar! 
We left a few Starbucks gift cards (I had my MIL get them while we were in hospital still, so I knew how many to have her get). 2 for my amazing and hands on l&d nurses, 3 for my rotation nurses on the post part floor💗 And she picked up some donuts to leave at the nurses station/their break room. 
Left a few hand cremes (lotions), nurses get really dry hands from all the sanitizer and hand washing. A hand written note, thanking them all by name for taking such wonderful care of us!

That is very sweet of you! I think snacks and drinks sound perfect, but now you've got me worried - is this common practice now? It was 11 years ago last time we had a newborn, and I don't remember doing a gift for the hospital staff. Is this something a lot of people do? Enough that we will look like jerks if we don't?

We did this when my son was born and will be doing it again for my daughter. I actually just finished the baskets. I put snacks, both healthy and more candy-oriented, that are easy to stuff in a locker or eat quickly. Granola bars, trail mix, small peanut butter packets, etc. My friend that’s a nurse looked at them and said they’re perfect.
