I had sex with my boyfriend on the first day (21st July) of my period. I figured that since my period takes 5 - 6 days that there was no point in taking the emergency contraception as his sperm would be out of my system before ovulation takes place.

I am worried about taking the risk and I was wondering whether I should take the pill even now 7 days after having sex and whether anyone else was in a similar situation.
