It’ll be so much easier to take away a pacifier over a thumb!! I plan to buy as many brands as I need to until I find the one baby likes!!

I never offered one to my daughter and she’s 14 months and just fine. She’s sucked on her thumb maybe 3 times so far and that was when she was itty bitty. My son is due at the end of August and I won’t be offering him one as well. I’ve seen how hard they are to wean and gave personally seen them affect someone’s teeth. No judgment for those that use them, they’re just not for us.

I will be pushing it 😂 better a paci than a thumb imo.  It buys you a few minutes too if you’re in the middle of something else.

My daughter was extremely colicky so it calmed her down. I plan to use it with any future kids as well. My daughter only used it to sleep for naps and night time. She doesn’t have one any other time.
Not looking forward to when I need to take away her pacifiers but we’ll cross that bridge in a few months lol

I plan on waiting until baby is a month old before offering a paci. Hopefully by then we'll have a good breastfeeding rhythm going.

I did for 6 months to help reduce the risk of sids. Only used it at night and for naps. Was effortless to take away at 6 months

my daughter had one for 3 weeks then wanted nothing to do with them. they made her gag. she hated them. she’s not a thumb sucker either. 🤷🏻‍♀️
