What kind of birth control do you recommend?

I’m not totally against other methods, but I listed the four I’m  most interested in.

I loved my birth control pill. Never had any issues and no pregnancy scares (I only was using the pill). But I was also really good about taking my pill before bed every night. Never missed once. If you have trouble remembering to take medicine about the same time every day, it may not be as reliable as other methods for you. But it worked great for me.

ANYTHING BUT THE DEPO. I’m telling you, as I’m sure many others can too, the depo took a HUGE toll on my body. I gained weight, migraines like a bitch, soreness throughout my body. It sucked being on the shot. I thought it was easy at first? Went in every 1.5 months. Didn’t have to remember to do it everyday, but I wish I would’ve never started it. My body hasn’t recouped yet.

I've been on the patch for the last six years with no negative side effects.

Condoms, they are cheap, easy to remember, and have no side effects! We tried the pill and the ring and I wish we had just started with condoms, it's not that big a deal to use them and it's so much easier than hormones

The pill and the patch are the two I’ve had the most luck with. I’ve heard a lot of good things about the ring as well. I had an absolutely horrible experience with the implant though. Bled every day for two months and the moodiness turned into me just being suicidal. I can’t recommend it.
