Does your baby wake up around 4-6am grunting and straining?

So today was the third day in a row our LO did this and it's driving me nuts. I looked it up and apparently is normal / common and just then getting used to their gut working in the morning but I can't sleep through it (sometimes he dozes off and then I can too). Just wanted to see if anyone else is experiencing this too!

My daughter is 5 weeks and she’s always done this. It always wakes me up. Sometimes she will sleep on and off for a while and other times she’s hungry and about to wake up. A lot of times it’s also because she wants her arms out of her swaddle. She loves to sleep with her hands on her face.

My baby is 7weeks today and does it every time he wakes lol I thought he was constipated 😩 but nope I guess it’s just a thing. I do give him mylicon just in case sometimes. He’s been doing it for a while now.

Mine does it every morning but I paid close attention today. 
She would grunt and stuff and then fall back asleep. She did this for a little while. When I fed her breakfast, she pooped the whole time!

Yes! How old is your LO? Mine is 4 weeks and he's been doing it since he was about 2 weeks old. He starts grunting at around 3 am, but he doesn't actually poo until like 9. When he does poo, he doesn't strain or grunt at all! We've gotten used to it now and now we're able to sleep through his grunts (because he's actually still asleep when he grunts) just hoping it'll settle down sometime soon!!

My baby has done this as well a few times this week... it’s sooo annoying since I wake up with every sound if I’m not deeply asleep 😑
