I always feel that if people are needing validation from randoms online that they are too young/not ready. If someone can make the decision for themselves and is stable enough (mentally, financially ect) then go for it. Age has nothing to do with this opinion.

It depends on how good you can take care of your self. Are you financially stable? Do you have a home? Do you have the money to get the stuff for a baby?

22 would have been too young for me, and I was pretty mature for my age. But I wanted to start a career, travel etc. But if you're in a stable relationship, living on your own and supporting yourself, and ready to make a little critter your #1 priority and the sacrifices that come with that, then yes you're ready.

Depends on how stable you are as far as finances and your living situation goes. My boyfriend and I have been together for 5 years, have our own place, have a savings, and he has a very good income, I'm 37 weeks pregnant and just turned 23. Everyone's situation is different though.

Im 20 and 36 weeks pregnant. Granted my husband is in the Army so we have stable income. I don’t feel nervous in the slightest and have no regrets but it truly isn’t a decision that random people online can make. We don’t know your situation. Im sure whatever decision you choose will be a good one ☺️

Yes and no... age is not the real factors when it comes to having children, but rather responsibility and financial independence are. Most 22 year olds nowadays are not emotionally responsible nor are they financially stable enough to be a parent (I definitely wasn’t) but some are. Like other posters have said, signs you may be ready are being completely financially independent, with money to spare because babies cost money and children cost even more as they grow, having good health insurance independent from your parents, having a safe and happy home to raise them in, have a stable and happy relationship with a person your trust and agree with on most child-rearing principles (whom you can have difficult conversations with about every little thing, because they will arise), and having a plan for childcare that’s feasible and affordable for your current situation; realize that daycare can run as much as $2000/month in some areas of the country (although it’s cheaper in other parts).

are you in a stable relationship? Have you been together for a reasonable amount of time? Do you have your own house? Are you both financially stable? Can afford a baby? These are the things that matter regardless of age. I had my second baby at 22 😊
