Pediatrician Picked?

When is everyone picking their pediatricians? Did you pick yours already? Are you waiting until you are further along?

I believe in my paperwork it says to start looking for a pediatrician around 28 weeks and have it finalized by 34. With my first we actually went in to meet the doctor before we decided. Honestly, I don't think you have to have one picked out until baby's born, but it's good to know ahead of time especially if baby comes early.

I'm 27 weeks and have an appt scheduled with one for the end of August. I live in a more rural area so they fill up really fast. I got lucky the practice I wanted only accepted bc they are hiring a new Dr who starts in September and im not due till October.

I’m actually using the pediatrician I went to when I was a kid. 😂 She had just started when I was a teenager and I liked her. My best friend brings her twins there now and she said she is good.

I’ve had mine picked out since I was probably 13 weeks. Haven’t met him but know people who go to him and he doesn’t order stupid unnecessary xrays for kids so that is a win win for me. I do xray so I see the stupidest stuff and am like you got to be kidding me.

Mine will be seeing the same one as my other two have . I went ahead and called and informed them of my due date since we will be getting baby boy circumcised. They will do a first visit in hospital after babys born..

At my appointment Thursday I meet the pediatrician and decide wether or not I want to keep him. If not then I check out others

I already have a 3 year old so new baby will see the same doc. With my first I just had to pick the clinic that would see baby in the hospital when I did my pre registration with the hospital at 32 weeks. I wasn’t assigned a pediatrician until after birth. Different hospital but same policy with this pregnancy.
