Registering at hospital to give birth?

What is the best time to do that? I’m 27 weeks do I need to bring anything to the hospital to register will it take long?

My ob office has us fill out papers w them ( though they re at the hospital.I m carrying baby # 4 and I cant remember at the other hospital it taking any time n I didnt physical ally go there.U just need your ins info n your ob should or will have u write your birth plan hopes.Congrats n good luck

I registered online last week at 34 weeks. Easy peasy, just needed my insurance info.

Mine i called them and they told me I didn't have to register just show up unless I have induction or C-section time to set up

I just did it at 27 weeks. My hospital takes registration as soon as the doctor confirms pregnancy. 
What documents you need to bring will vary, but mostly it’s ID’s, marriage certificate (if applicable), affidavits of paternity (if applicable), single mother (if applicable) etc. stuff like that. You can always call your hospitals patient registration center, or ours is called just birth registration to figure out exactly what you need. Most set appts too. We had all of our paperwork done before we went in so she just looked through everything, asked a few questions and we were done in like 10 mins.

My hospital allows you to do it online. I think I was between 28-32 weeks or something when I did it.
