What helps you to dilate ?

Question

I’m scheduled for an induction next week but Dr told me if I ‘m not dilated the it might fail! And I might have an emergency c section 
I wonder if there is anything to help dilation?

There’s always a possibility of C section. Even without inductions. 
I was induced with my first baby. Not effaced or dilated. I had to do 24 hours of cervidil in the cervix to get me to 100% effaced and 1cm dilated. Labor was 12 hours.

That seems silly. There’s multiple drugs they can give you go help labor and dilation.

I was told sex, exercise and lightly bouncing on a yoga ball can all help, I’ve been having maybe false labor maybe real labor contractions for awhile now so I’m gonna try “just dance” later and see how that goes😂 good luck! Be careful and safe!

I went from nothing at 37 weeks to 1 CM at 38 weeks..I went up & down the stairs a million times skipping a stair in between & then every other time going up sideways. I also ate two whole pineapples lol. Not sure if it actually was what helped but just thought I would mention it in hopes of helping you! PS the next day your calves will BURN 😂 best of luck!
