Oh shit I have step B?

I was looking at my patient portal and saw last weeks step B test was positive! 
I’m already getting a c section though. 
Will they maybe induce me a smidge earlier because of it? 👀😅 I’ll be 38 weeks Sunday!

No you’ll just need antibiotics during delivery it doesn’t affect anything

Make sure you do some research as the first month you have to be more vigilant and sterile etc with babies with strep B. You also don’t want people who are even remotely unwell near the baby ❤️

You get antibiotics regardless during c-section so it bears no relevance.

I have it this time around and did not with my daughter. from what I read if you’re having a c-section you won’t have to have the antibiotics because the baby isn’t coming out down there. I could be wrong though.
