Period 🤔 SOMEONE HELP!

I came on my period 2 times last month 17th-20th then 29th-now, currently still on from last month cycle that’s started the 29th of last month... Honestly could’ve been on it 3 times last month but I only logged 2 periods. I’m on nexplanon BUT I’ve passed my 3 year mark close to 4 now (it’s expired with 3 years being the limit), my period started coming back not too long ago and are normally light since its arrival. This cycle is heavier for some reason and more painful... I just wanna know WTH is going on. I’m going to the doc maybe next week but still wanna know what’s happening 😞
