Can’t find my strings???

I just got my IUD placed two days ago. I decided to. check for my strings today and couldn’t find them. I have small fingers, and I don’t think my fingers are long enough to find them, being that I’ve tried and never distinctively felt my cervix before. Should I be worried that I can’t find them?

You haven't had it very long. Just ask your doctor at your checkup, since they usually checkup in a month or 6 weeks after insertion. Some people can never feel their strings. Some doctors don't even recommend their patients feel for the strings either.

i don't check it, i've had mine for about a month now. i'm not worried about the strings. you'll know if something is off - your period is late by a week.

I’ve had mine for two years and have YET to be able to feel my strings 😅

I would get it checked out maybe but this has happened to me once and they were stuck in my cervix wall! But if you feel pain or anything get it checked for sure
