How does one choose?
This has been one of the hardest decisions for me. What career do I go for?

I get bored at every job I have. I’ve done things I love to do even in my free time, taken up new challenges but no matter what I get bored and change jobs, even fields, every 2 years.

The problem with that is I am considered entry level every time, and it’s not like I have 10 different degrees so I never make more money because they are jobs you don’t need more schooling for.

I went back to school last year to finally do something I felt I wasn’t smart enough to do when I was 18: sciences. Always loved biology but sucked at chem and math. I went back in the hopes of getting good enough grades in pre-reqs and get into dental hygiene school: scientific, great pay but hopefully not too hard that I wouldn’t make it and only 2 years for the actual program. I thought: I’ll get bored but at least I get good pay and can get away with working only 3 days a week (i work at a dental office right now so I know enough to know I find dental health interesting, but also that dental hygiene is very repetitive)

Turns out I’m way better at school in my 30s and am actually doing really well so now I’m thinking I can do ANYTHING and I have more options but... what do I choose? 😂

I love medical stuff, but I don’t want to be a nurse (lots of friends in the field)
I love biology, microbiology, immunology, genetics... and I’m wondering if there’s a job out there where you can constantly learn? That’s what gets me not bored: learning something new and interesting regularly, or having a job that’s always changing and challenging.
Any thoughts? Most people around me are doctors, PAs and nurses and of course advocate for their own careers, wondering if anyone here has some insight, perspective, feel the same?
