Did your doctor clear you at 3 weeks postpartum to have sex?

I’ve been seeing quite a few woman say they’ve been cleared for sex at just 3 weeks pp. were any of you? I’m 3 weeks 4 days postpartum and have no interest in sex right now lol

No doctor is going to clear someone at 3pp. Hell most will not even see you tell 6 weeks.  Unless there is a reason to.  I saw mine but I had preeclampsia that was very bad.

They probably haven't been cleared, many think they are okay to do it because they've stopped bleeding and don't feel pain anymore. But that does not mean it's safe, everyone should wait until 6 weeks or until their doctor says it's okay to move forward since everyone has an open wound in their body.

ima be honest , havent even gone to my postpartum because all of a sudden my hospital doesnt take my health insurance anymore . buttttttt i started having sex at 3 weeks pp and it feels better now than before i gave birth 🤣🤷🏽‍♀️

Mine cleared me to have sex at my 2 week check-up. I had very minimal tearing that the doctor got a second opinion on whether it should be stitched or not then decided to give me one stitch and at my two week check my stitches were completely healed, my bleeding had stopped and my cervix was closed. Therefore, I was cleared to have sex if I wanted to...I was also advised to use a lot of lube (especially because of breastfeeding) lol. Also...I don't understand why people are commenting that 'those people' are lying...I can't see any reason why it would benefit me to lie about that.

In the U.K. (Or atleast the part where I live) we don't have doctors who clear us for sex etc, we get a midwife come out to see us at home every few days etc to check up on baby and mum, and check if your womb/uterus is closing up as it should and to check any stitches if you had any and when they are satisfied that we are gonna do just fine and are both doing well they discharge you, I got discharged at 10 days pp, I had sex at 3 weeks pp 🤷🏻‍♀️ and at my baby and me 6 week check at the doctors they did a full baby examination to check he was doing fine and just asked me how I was doing mentally

Was cleared at 5 weeks but i had one small tear, one stitch and no complications. I am still taking it slow because you often become drier than usual while breastfeeding!

True story. At my 2week checkup post csection, my ob said i could have sex “if i felt like it.” Those were her exact words. I had stopped bleeding at one week, and had healed well. 🤷🏼‍♀️.
