Is it safe for babies to sleep in this?

Or shouldn’t they be flat on their back?

Technically, no..
If you follow the safe sleep guide its says a firm flat surface. But really, nothing is friggin safe! With my first I was so neurotic about everything, scared if I didnt follow the rules to a T she would die! Now with my second I'll still be crazy but hopefully not as much. I'm sure it's fine, millions of babies sleep safely in these.

The bassinet part ? It’s safe.  My son slept in it till he grew out of it . He’s in the big part of the pack n play now

I know everything is ‘back to basics’ these days, but my son slept on his front from about 2 weeks old. Nothing I did got him to sleep soundly on his back. I had one of these bassinets but moved him quite quickly to the flat part on his front.

My boy slept next to my bed in that for a full year. The bassinet till he was 3 to 4 months and then slept in the actual pen till a year. Then we moved him to his crib

Hi I’m just here to say that I bought a Graco pack n play very very similar to this one, the only difference is that the mobile on this one is MUCH cuter but mine was 90$ at Walmart. I’m all about saving money , so thought I’d let ya know 🤷🏼‍♀️😋

The pack n play was pur only bassinet. I removed the sleeping thing from the top and the change table. Son slept in it for 6 months before I decided it was time he move to his own room and crib as he was pulling up to stand at that point.

Can you remove the napper and changer from that? In the one by Graco that I will use, under those two attachments is a flat bassinet. That’s what our baby will sleep in, not the little napper part that is sort of inclined. I read that is not a safe option. I’m getting one similar to this but will only use the changer and napper part during the day or with traveling for something for the baby to lay awake in. I obsessed over these things lol. Seems like the rules for baby sleep are so strict and specific! Hope that helps!
