Counts?

Question

For those of you that do counts, do you only worry if:
1.you don’t get 10 in two hours or 
2.do you worry if it takes longer in general (for example, usually takes 20 minutes but took 45 min today?)

My doctor told me as long as there’s a period where your baby is moving a lot she said count everything. My baby has his days like one day he’ll be super active and I don’t do the counts cause it’s literally all the time he’s moving. Then the next day he’ll kinda rest and not move which freaks me out. Doctor said it’s normal but I always worry. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Some days she moves so much in a couple hour period I don’t worry at all because she will literally make me sick with all her movement. Then there are others days where it’s 8-9pm and I’m like oh haven’t felt much today. Either because I was distracted/busy or she was just more chill. I’ll lay down and really concentrate that night and as long as I get that 10 movements in a couple hours it’s all good.

I do them about every day at the same time, I always get my 10 kicks in less than 30 mins. If you aren't feeling babe kick as much you can try having something sweet or having a cold drink. Babe can go up to 3 hours with little to no kicking without cause for concern. It's normal for kicks to vary in time and lengths.

Kick counts aren’t meant to do every day. I only do them if I notice less movements or feel like I haven’t felt baby in awhile. And then you’d pick a time of day that they are normally active to do the counts. I usually get all 10 within a few minutes when I do count.
