TTC with 90% chance of second ectopic?
I found out in April that my right tube was completely blocked. I had an ectopic pregnancy in my left tube (the good tube) in June. I had laparoscopic surgery to remove the pregnancy but not the whole tube, since my other tube was so damaged/blocked. Now our fertility doc says I have a 90% chance of a second ectopic in the same tube if we try again, and if that happens then the tube will definitely have to come out. She also said this will cut away a bit of the blood supply to the ovary (not to mention this runs the risk of rupture, surgery again, emotional pain again, etc.) My question is would you guys try with just that 10% chance, or risk it all despite the odds being against you? Do we TTC or wait until our IVF comes up in about 2 years? I was thinking I’d want to try, but thinking about it more worries me 💔💔💔
