Trying after ectopic

I had an ectopic in March, and lost my right tube. They noticed my left tube was damaged but told me ‘its ok as the left tube can actually reach over to the right ovary and use those eggs if you’ve ovulated from there...’ I saw a fertility specialist on Friday who told me that’s a load of rubbish, unless u have super super tubes .. has anyone fell pregnant with one tube, and have been told you actually ovulated from the ovarie that was missing the tube? Has anyone actually got a story like mine with a positive outcome? (She also won’t do an op to check the tube with dye u till I loose 1.5 stone either !🙄) xx
