I’ve joined the “baby has arrived” club. Laying in the hospital right now, supposed to be getting some sleep but wanted to post a few pictures. 😊

Short version of story, I started having random contractions on Thursday (started while driving to work) morning. Around 10:30/11pm I decide to go to bed. Within minutes of laying down my contractions started coming every 5 minutes. Not knowing if they were contractions or BH’s I decide to just pay attention to timing of them. My boyfriend was having to do some work (luckily from home office)starting at 01:00 am but he started early when I went to go to bed) Come 01:30 I decide to finally tell him that I think baby was coming. After an hour of logging them I call the on call Dr who says to go on in to hospital and get checked out.

Get to the hospital around 3am, got checked, they say I’m 4-5 cm dialated, and take me over to the labor and delivery section. After about an hour I got an Epi, which slowed the progression down but I’m completely okay with that. Come 2:45 pm and they have me start pushing. I pushed for 30 minutes before our beautiful baby boy decided he would make his appearance at 7lbs 1 oz, 20 in long.
