My beautiful plus-sized pregnancy

Allison

Before I got pregnant I had a lot of fear.

I was afraid I wouldn’t look pregnant, just fatter.

I was afraid my body wasn’t healthy enough to carry a baby to term.

I couldn’t have been more wrong.

This pregnancy has made me feel strong and beautiful. I will teach my daughter to be proud of her body, because no matter how many lumps and bumps she has, she can grow big, beautiful babies too.

I’ve included a before picture for those curious. I am 5’9 and was 283 prepregnancy. I’ve gained about ten pounds. My pregnancy has had zero complications (despite all the warnings of increased risks due to blood pressure and obesity) and my baby is measuring about 8 pounds at 39 weeks.

Blessings to my plus-sized moms-to-be or those TTC. We are capable of more than we realize. And we are beautiful.
