Consistent cramping similar to period cramps is normal.  Contractions come and go consistently and are timeable, gradually getting stronger and closer together.

I felt crampy and i believed my mucus plug came out just a bit went into the hospital and told everything was fine. Next day my water broke and I was admitted at 32 weeks and 3 days.

If you start to feel cramping like that put your feet up and then drink tons of water if they stay pretty regular and consistent but separate for example every 20 minutes and then go away and not just continuous it could be pre term labor. But if the cramping gets severe enough then I will call your doc to be safe.
