A positive test is the only thing that can accurately be relied upon to tell you you're pregnant. PMS and early pregnancy symptoms are very similar firstly, and secondly - not every woman will get symptoms prior to a positive test.
I had zero symptoms til I was about 6ish weeks, almost 2 weeks after I got a positive pregnancy test. Most of any early pregnancy signs are extremely similar to symptoms you get before your period so that can never be an indicator of pregnancy.
I had super sore nipples and that never happens even before AF, I also had a cold which is weird for the summer time, and then it all came down to a super vivid dream of a positive test do I took one the next morning and it was positive!
