Washing baby clothes?

Do you guys wash all the clothes you have brought for baby? some people said they didn’t and some said they did. Is it necessary? If so I’ll be doing it on my maternity leave next month

A lot of the clothes I got were second hand, so I just washed everything all together, even the new items.

Yes, but I tend to wash all of our clothes before we wear them. You never know what they have been in contact with between the factory, shipping, and in the store. Babies tend to have sensitive skin, so theirs are even more important.

I DEFINITELY wash them.  Fabrics are sprayed with antifungals and pesticides before shipping along with all the pollutants they come in contact with.  I don’t want that on my skin and definitely don’t want it on baby’s.

I washed everything that touched my 2 older babies, and I'm doing the same with #3. Lots of stuff is sprayed with chemicals and people with lord knows what on their hands touching stuff in stores.

I have washed most onesies and sleepers, I haven’t washed any dresses or bigger size outfits yet (beyond 3 months) because I just have no clue how she will grow. It’s best to wash some but not all right away.

I washed them all except the newborn. I washed like 3 newborn outfits. The rest of them I kept tags on so I could exchange or return.

I did wash everything then regretted doing some of it as he didn’t even get to wear some of it and I could have given it as gifts or returned it.
