Can birth control make ur period really long?

I’ve been on the pill for about  4 months now and the end of the first  month I got my period and it lasted about 7 weeks is that supposed to happen?

I have heard of people reacting that way to the pill, it’s not entirely uncommon, but definitely not something you should just put up with. Go to your doctor and ask to try something different. It’s s sign you dont react well to whatever brand or dose they put you on.

I would talk to your doctor, most birth controls are supposed to make your periods lighter and shorter. Some pills with more hormones in them might make your periods a little heavier and 7 days (those pills are typically for women who are sexually active and want to make sure they get their period) but I don’t know of any pills making your periods that long, so as I said, call your doc and make sure everything is okay!
