Can aftera make my period late?

I took a EC pill about ten days before my period... I am supposed to start tomorrow but I don't feel like I'm about to at all? Is it normal to be late and if so how late is TOO late??? It was my first time having to take one and I'm nervous lol. I'm not on a regular birth control either
