I'm 35+2 weeks and due to a diagnosis of severe preeclampsia I am being induced today after spending 2 days in the hospital. Baby boy is expected to take up to 48 hrs to come but we cannot wait to see him and I'm praying he has little to no NICU time.

They gave me the betamethasone shot the past two days for baby's lungs so hopefully that helps.

This is all so surreal to me! I have had my first round of mistopropol in my cervix having mild contractions. I have a catheter and magnesium drip so no moving around for me. His due date went from September 7th to August 18th to August 7th please keep us in your thoughts and prayers!

I'll keep updated for myself and anyone interested. Next cervix check is in 2 hrs and 20 min (245pm). First was at 1045am. I was fingertip dilated at that point and long cervix.

They just checked my cervix and it hurt way more this time. I went from fingertip dilated to 1 centimeter and from 30%thinned to 50% thinned. I'm having pretty regular contractions so they arent sure if they are going to give me another dose of the misto yet. All I know for now!
