Today is my birthday. My husband works long hours (leaves at 7:40 am and returns between 8:30 - 11 pm depending on how busy) so everything with our kids, house, bills, food, etc falls on me. While I have a full-time job too. We're paying off debt so we don't spend too much on "things". He used his last option day from work for the year to stay home for my birthday. He went with me to help my elderly grandmother run her errands. He held her hand because she was too weak to walk. He helped with our children all day. He is at basketball practice with our son now which he never gets to do. Typically he gets me flowers but he knew I wanted a little dessert. He showed up with a whole cheese cake with multiple flavors. He didn't spend a ton of money but the fact that he was here with our family is the best present to me! ❤

It was also pretty great for him to see what I actually go through with the kids. I think he has a whole new understanding because he never really sees my routine. 😂😂😂
