I'm having a hard time with this. I really like my job, it's one of the only places I've worked that I really fit in and do the job well. I just feel seriously underpaid for what I'm doing, and I just got another person's load dumped on me when they quit. I'm not talking like $1 per hour less than the average for my position, more like $4 or $5. There are a few things about the company that I dislike, but not as much as other places I've worked. I want to start looking for other work because I need to make more money. I've already asked for a raise, but because it's a smaller company they still can't get close to what I want and feel I deserve. I'm debating whether I should stay with this company and pinch pennies to pay bills or look for something else that pays more. What would you do?
