Cervical stitch?

Question

I went to my anatomy scan today and found out we are having a boy. However we also learned I have an incompetent cervix and I was dilated 2cm so my doctor had to go see a specialist same day. I am currently in the hospital to have a cervical stitch put in to close my cervix tomorrow. Has anyone had this done? Does it hurt? I’m nervous.

I had mine done at 14&4. Spinal so I didn’t feel anything, procedure was quick start to finish only 20minutes. 3hours later I was discharged home once my legs woke up and I was able to use the bathroom. I get biweekly cervical checks with my MFM to watch for changes. I’m also on weight restrictions (no pushing pulling or lifting more than 10lbs) also on pelvic rest.

I had it done July 9th I get it took out Dec 2nd. At 36 weeks. And they also gave me the epidural so it numbed my lower part and I couldn't feel nothing just a little spotting but nothing major. And I wasn't sore or nothing when the meds wore off. But my doc did send me home with meds but I didn't need them, so far so good. My stitch is holding up. & this is my rainbow baby .
