Fet after retrieval, how long to wait?

Hi girls, I had my egg collection last wed, couldnt do a fresh transfer because my progesterone was too high. The doctor rang today and said I can start prepping for FET one I get a bleed. Just wondering do any of you know is there any less chance of success doing it that quickly or should I wait for the next bleed after that?

I don’t know if more bleeds increases chance of fet, but I do know fet has a slightly higher success rate, especially if you produced a bunch of eggs.
For mine, we started prep with my first bleed, which occurred 6 days after retrieval.  Now, prep started with 2 weeks of birth control, then with the next bleed, I started the fet meds.  My fet was exactly 6 weeks after retrieval.  We are now 5 weeks, 3 days pregnant🥰

No you don’t need to wait for 2 periods.  The first period after retrieval is the standard time to start FET prep.

I was able to wait start after next bleed but honestly it’s all about the bloodwork, they’ll get your day 3 and go from there. If you’re clear you’ll start prepping, if not you’ll wait for next bleed. Good luck!!

My clinic requires a full non medicated cycle. It’s their policy to cleanse the body of hormones before a fet. The only exception is for when women get 1 or 2 fertilized eggs.

If you triggered with Lupron you will bleed within a couple days. If not, it can take a little while for levels to drop.
