When is everyone telling their boss about their pregnancy ?

I am thinking to wait until first trimester is over but am not sure if maybe I should talk about it earlier.

I don't work anymore I'm a SAHM but when I did work I waited until my anatomy scan at 20 weeks to tell anyone at work. I was barely showing and what little I was I could cover well.

I’m close with my boss, so I told her pretty much right when I tested positive a few times (took multiple tests over the course of a week). 
Basically just giving her a heads up because I work at a small business so with me being the manager and the sole worker for the store, we need to hire another person. 
Pregnancy goes so quickly and I just did it out of respect more than anything. I just wanted her to be prepared as well.

I’m telling right away due to the fact I have to do a lot of heavy lifting...

I'm telling right away so that if I have to take any time off for being sick/under the weather they understand. 
Also if heaven forbid something bad should happen I feel like they would understand me taking a day or two to myself to recover. 
Remember pregnancy is a protected status and managers have to be careful how they treat you or you can report them.

I plan on telling my boss after my first trimester.  We haven’t even told anyone yet so it will be at least close to the end of the first trimester when I tell my boss.

I’m super nervous about telling my boss.  I’m an elementary school teacher, and I’m only going into my 2nd year. I’m concerned she will be upset that I’m taking leave this year after only being there for a year.  ☹️ I hate that I’m letting it get to me, because my husband and I are sooo excited to be pregnant with our first!
