They found our son had an echogenic bowel at my 20 week scan. I was sent for additional basic testing the next week to see if I had any infection, was a CF carrier and for any genetic soft markers. Everything came back negative so they told us not to worry and that they’d do another ultrasound later to confirm it cleared up.

While we had the second ultrasound today and they still saw evidence of it. At this point they said we shouldn’t worry since no other tests came back positive and it’s likely nothing. I’m just wondering if anyone else has experienced anything like this. I’m not sure if I should take what they say at face value and trust it or consider a second opinion to help us better understand what the cause may be.
