Me or my husband???
Ok so. My husband and I love to camp. I work a very stressful job and camping is my one way to relax! We have gone numerous times throughout the summer and EVERY FUCKING TIME his family shows up to spend time with us. I’m talking his mom, brother, sister, and then my husbands nieces and nephews.
Don’t get me wrong, I love my in laws. But I feel like this is our time... and if we wanted them to camp with us we would invite them 🙃 ...they literally just come by, use our camper to change for the beach, let the little kids play in the camper, make a fire, etc.
I’ve requested that my husband tell them not to come this time. I know he struggles because his dad recently died and it was very unexpected. His mom is not doing well and he is constantly wanting to make sure she’s happy / doing ok. He doesn’t want to upset her in anyway, whereas I would have no problem being straight with my mom.
Therefore CC... do you agree that he needs to respectfully tell his family that this is OUR time and we would like some alone time? Orrrrrr should I tell them?
PS. In the past they just drove around the campground until they found us when we weren’t answering their texts before.
Anyone else’s in-laws drive you crazy????
