I think I’m really just looking for reassurance that I’m not gross or an idiot 🤦🏻‍♀️

I’m 32 weeks pregnant and noticed changes to how my vagina felt for several weeks, but didn’t think too much of it at first because there’s so many changes to my body right now. The only symptoms I really noticed were watery discharge and not being able to get physically aroused enough for sex.

I’ve never had a yeast infection before but I thought I knew the symptoms to watch out for— I constantly monitored for any chunky or creamy white or greenish discharge, unusual smell, or itchiness/burning— and had none of those! Just the clear, water like discharge and pain when trying to have sex.

Well, over the weekend I noticed a slight light brown tinge to the discharge, so today at my checkup I asked the doctor to go ahead and take a look— and she said “you have a RAGING yeast infection!” She was honestly shocked I hadn’t seen any white discharge or had any itching.

Anyone else ever had a yeast infection without the “typical” symptoms like this? 🤷🏻‍♀️

I just feel super embarrassed because apparently it’s bad enough that I must have had it for a while, and I feel awful that I’ve had sex with my husband and exposed him to it 🙅🏻‍♀️
