Tampons or pads?

Question

So I have only ever used pads and I know everyone is different, but I was wondering wgich ones everyone preferred and which ones were best to prevent leaking?
I'm thinking of trying tampons but don't want to bother if I'm going to be paranoid of leaking!

Personally I only use tampons. Sometimes mine leaks through the night within the first two days but its pretty minimal and I’d rather that than feel the bulge of a pad for the week!

When I first started my period I used pads because it was easier. Once I grew older and my periods for heavier I had to switch to tampons! 
If you’re concerned about leaks but want to try tampons use panty liners on your heaviest days and then you don’t have to worry about leaking through clothes
