First time Mum and I don’t really know what contractions would feel like so I am guessing. Could anyone give me insight into what happened? I’m 35 weeks

Last night I woke up with major stomach/abdominal pain. I thought I needed the bathroom so I went to the toilet

For about 10 minutes I went through waves of what I guess were contractions.

I could feel it my sides start to tighten, then the pain on both lower sides of my lower abdominals would peak it felt like someone was pulling me apart, and then it would subside. It was so painful I had to walk around and could barely breathe. Nothing I have felt before 😐

This happened about 5 times every 1-2minutes but stopped completely after about 6 of them.

I haven’t had anything for about 7 hours now.

I am confused! I’ve had Braxton Hicks but this was a whole different experience

Could it be contractions and a sign of early labour? It’s only 5am so I will call and ask my midwife in a few hours as I haven’t had anything since 🤦‍♀️🤷‍♀️
