Can I sleep during induction?

I’m getting induced tomorrow at 10 pm and starting with cervical ripening, then getting the foley balloon. Is it possible to sleep through these things, seeing as it will be the middle of the night?

Yep and I’d recommend doing so as long as possible to help pass the time and save your energy

Yes absolutely! I slept until they gave me pitocin the next morning and then I got a nap in after my epidural before delivery

I had the foley bulb and couldn’t sleep through the cramping but other women have been able to. I’m going in at 5:30pm tomorrow for my induction, likely just cytotec this time, so I’m expecting no sleep haha

Absolutely! Both these methods can take time. I had the balloon put in at about 11:30am on a Thursday and it didn't fall out until 4:00am on Friday and they advised i get a few more hours sleep before they broke my waters and eventually started me on syntosin.
