Do membrane sweeps work?

I am 38 weeks pregnant and so done with being pregnant. I have an appointment on Tuesday and was going to ask about a membrane sweep, however Wednesday is my daughter’s 3rd birthday and I don’t want to take away from her day! 
If you had a membrane sweep did it work for you? How quickly did you go into labour?

A good friend of mine just had her baby and she went into labor the night after she had her membrane swept!

I had my sweep at 40 weeks and it didn’t work. I’m currently 40 weeks and 4 days and still waiting for my little ones arrival.

Yes worked for me . I was 40+2. It happened at 9am and I was in early labor by 12 noon the same day. 💜

I had mine done 3 times 39 weeks 40 weeks and 41 weeks and nothing -_-

It depends how good they do it and if your body is ready!
