Stretching while pregnant ?

Madi

I’m 11 weeks, and I really badly need to stretch, but I feel like that wouldn’t be safe for the baby? I’m not sure . But I just feel like if I’m bending back in bed, you know how you do in the morning, it’ll tear something?

Stretching is safe and beneficial. It'll help keep you good and flexible. Stretching away from cramps has been my only relief for stitches in my side.

Try prenatal yoga! You will feel so much better and the stretches are all approved for pregnancy! Look up free videos on YouTube

Stretching is actually advised during pregnancy. Because of one of the pregnancy hormones (maybe relaxin, but don’t quote me in that) your muscles are actually at their most limber during pregnancy, and getting good stretching sessions in is often advised as one of the best gentle ways to move your body while pregnant.
