Hi there, I need some help from people who know what college is like and/or college decisions please. My mom has ‘decided’ that I am going to ask my brother who has not gone to college yet but is an adult, because she wants him to go with me wherever I decide to go to college.

I find this ridiculous because it’s my journey to experience, I’m trying to branch away from the nest, you could say, and she’s sending my protective older brother with me? Is this too selfish? I haven’t asked him yet, I feel like this is a sensitive matter for him.

She also wants me to go to community college, but I want to travel out of state to be near my relatives at the same time. Bad idea?

This is all so confusing.
