I wouldn’t get a ton because you can always end up getting more. Having said that, my LO is 5 weeks old and still in newborn clothes at approx 8lbs 7oz and we’ve been rotating through the same 15 outfits (mostly onesies). Her newborn wardrobe is boring but I haven’t bought more NB clothes because we keep thinking she’ll grow out of them at any moment 🤷🏼‍♀️

They are 100 percent correct my daughter is small and newbor. Clothes only last maybe 3 weeks.

I'd just buy a 6 pack of onesies from Walmart for $10 and thats it. She was 8lbs 10oz and wore NB for maybe 3 weeks.

100% true at least for me. My son wore them for maybe a week. This time we skipped NB and got 0-3m

You also don’t know how big they will be when they’re born. Sometimes babies don’t even fit in newborn at all after they’re born. I wouldn’t get a ton, and my son basically lived in PJs the first couple months so I would get some of those more than anything else

My first was born 6lbs 3 oz and she was in newborn for about a month and a half to 2 months. This baby is going to be bigger so he wont be in newborn that long.

So my daughter was born 6 lbs 4 oz and she wore newborns for about 3 months. She was gaining weight and growing like she should, shes just also built like her 5 foot 3 father (I'm 5 foot 9) like even now at almost 17 months old she finally moved up to 12 month shirts but she can still wear 6-9 month pants if they have a stretchy waistband. Because the 12 month and 18 month pants are just too long in the leg 🤣 She's 31 inches tall and 21 lbs now. Just those little legs. All depends on your baby. Find a middle ground. Like not bare minimum but not holy heck too many. Some babies are born and skip right over newborn clothes. So definitely take newborn outfit and a 0-3 month outfit with you to the hospital for coming home.

My first was 6lbs 5oz And was swimming in 0-3 months. She was in newborn for a while, at least 4-6 weeks. This time, I bought a weeks worth of newborn clothing and I’ll just do laundry as I need to.

Baby was born at 7# 11oz and was in NB for maybe a month and honestly, we didnt do much that first month (I had a csection) and since you shouldn't bathe them very often, we changed her maybe 2x a week unless she had a blowout. We didnt need many NB.
