This is going to come across as stupid but I’m genuinely concerned. I am 12 weeks pregnant and due to protests and violence in my country I could be subjected to tear gas, which can be unexpected. I have read that expired tear gas can have adverse long term health effects as well and it has been rumoured that expired tear gas has been used.

What are the long term or short term effects on me and my baby? Are there any doctors or nurses that can advise?
