First trimester growth scan?

I had an US at 6 weeks 1 days. Told baby’s heart was slow but did not get the heart rate. Was told to come back in 2 weeks for “growth scan”.. is this normal? I measured exactly 6 weeks and 1 day so baby was growing nice but the heart rate was way too slow..

My bb girl had a hr of 96 at 6 weeks, than at 8 weeks went up to 160.

It's normal. Babys heartbeat starts off slow that early on and gets faster within a week or so if that long. My daughter's heartbeat was only a little over 100 at 6 weeks I think. She was perfectly fine

It is normal when you go in for an ultrasound so early. They usually want you to wait till 8 weeks along so that no one is freaked out when you are a little off. 
When you go in at 8 weeks and measure 7, its not really a huge deal because everything should still measure healthy. 
But if you go in at 6 weeks and measure 5, and things aren't quite fully formed, all they can do is make sure everything is forming and moving in the right direction.

Happened to me with my son. I ovulated late so I was 5 weeks when I got my first ultrasound. There was no heartbeat, only the fetal pole. Went back 2 weeks later and baby had a strong heartbeat and was growing fine. He’s now 10 months old. Good luck mama.
