I want to get my third holes on my lobe pierced but where I live we don’t have the best piercing shops. I’ve gotten my helix and nose pierced in my area and both are fine, but I don’t want my ears to be pierced with butterfly back studs. I would prefer a flat back jewelry because I feel like that would be easier to clean than something with a butterfly back on there. I would assume since we don’t have the best piercing shops here they probably do not have that type of jewelry. When I went to get my helix done the piercer gave me the option of a barbell and stud with butterfly backing and I chose the barbell because like I said I don’t like butterfly backs. Would I be able to purchase my own jewelry and bring it in for them to use? If so would it leave enough room for swelling, or would I have to purchase longer jewelry than normal to leave that extra room? What metal should I stick to? To my knowledge I have no metal allergies.
